“SHOW US your ram” website owner Anna James had an incident with a stray kangaroo, travelling to Taroom this week.

She talked to the Leader at the Biloela Hotel, getting a schooner.

She said that she was celebrating not having her two-of-a-kind RAM be written off.

“I was told it originally would be a write-off because of the airbags and it wasn’t.”

She was travelling at dawn to Taroom to plant flowers for a wedding when a kangaroo jumped out from the tall grass into her vehicle.

Her car is worth around $150,000 and was one of the first diesel Ram trucks in Australia.

“I was travelling at 92 or 93 kilometres an hour, so I had a little hitch,” Ms James said.

“It’s not a big dent, it’s just a small dent.”

“But what happens, is that if you got curtain airbags — I had a total whiteout.”

She said the experience was like being frosted with white gas and the white airbags.

“I was very very fortunate that there were no cars coming the other way,” she said.

“It could have been a darn lot more dangerous.”

She said she was relieved to know her car had not been written off.

“I had a couple of really sad days this week,” she said.

Mechanics were able to find the parts to Ms James’ rare vehicle and fix it for her.

Cheers to that.
